What a wonderful weather there is! Let’s go outside if you are allowed in your home country. What kind of inspirational materials, surfaces and textures you can find outside that you could use in your surface experiments later on today? It is free style again so please feel free to use your imaginary as much as possible? Keep your eyes open too, maybe you can find some surprising materials and elements outside that you are allowed to take and use in your surface experiments. We have picked up some elements and different kinds of materials outside that you are happy to use as an inspiration too!

1. Let’s go outside.

2. Let’s pick up some materials like stones, sand, sticks, leaves and what else? Can you find some very inspiring other materials?

3. What did you find?

4. Once you are back home find some cardboard and glue. It is time to organize the materials into different kind of surfaces.

5. What kind of surfaces you have created? Some soft, rough, versatile, tone on tone surfaces maybe?

Have a nice adventure outside and have some great time frittering the
elements and materials into surfaces!

There are so many different kinds of inspiring textures, materials and surfaces out there!

First you better cut a good sized cardboard base for the activity and then you just start to organize different kind of materials into surfaces. Be generous with the glue, it helps to keep the elements together!

Let’s work this out!

Soft, hard, dark, yellowish, straight, natural…..
